Who we are

Who Is Behind Maryland MVA Appointment?

Maryland MVA Appointment is a privately run website created by an independent editorial team that researches Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration services. We turn official MVA information into clear, step-by-step guides so drivers can get the right appointment, bring the right documents and avoid a wasted trip.

We started this site because MVA information is spread across many official pages, and finding the one rule that applies to you can take a long time. When MDOT MVA launched its new website in 2026, many familiar links moved, which made it even harder. Our goal is simple: one clear place to understand how Maryland MVA appointments work, with direct links to the official pages where you take action.

Appointments are booked only on the official myMVA website. We never book, sell or charge for appointments, and we cannot see or change anyone’s MVA records. You can read more about this in our disclaimer.

Our process

How Do We Check the Information on This Site?

Every guide starts on an official source, such as the MDOT MVA website or myMVA. We write it in plain English, then check each fee, date, phone number and link against that source a second time before publishing. When the MVA announces a change, we update the affected pages, and we review every page again every few months.

  1. Step 1

    Start at the source

Research begins on official MVA and Maryland government pages, never on forums or other guide sites.

  2. Step 2

    Write it plainly

We explain the rule in short sentences, with steps, tables and the exact official link.

  3. Step 3

    Check every detail

Fees, dates, hours, phone numbers and links are compared with the source again before publishing.

  4. Step 4

    Review and update

We update pages when the MVA announces a change and re-check every page every few months.

Where facts come from

Which Sources Do We Use?

We rely on official Maryland government sources: the MDOT MVA website, the myMVA portal, the Maryland Driver’s Manual and Maryland.gov. For emissions testing we use the MVA’s VEIP program pages, and for vehicle safety inspections we use the Maryland State Police. When sources disagree, the official MVA page wins.

What we never use as a source: social media posts, forums, comment sections or other unofficial guide websites. They can help us notice that something changed, but a fact only goes on our pages after we confirm it on an official source.

Our promise

What Can You Expect From Our Guides?

You can expect accurate, independent and easy-to-follow information. We link straight to the official page for every action, we never ask for your personal details, and advertising never decides what we write. If something is unclear or uncertain, we say so and give you the official MVA number to confirm.

Accuracy first

Facts come from official sources and are re-checked before publishing and during regular reviews.

Independent

Ads help keep the site free, but advertisers have no say in our content, and we do not accept payment to mention a business.

Plain English

Short answers first, then the details, with steps, tables and checklists you can scan quickly.

No personal data

You never need an account here, and we never ask for your license number, Social Security number or documents. Our privacy policy explains the little data the site does use.

Official links for every action

Booking, payments and record changes happen only with the MVA itself: on official maryland.gov websites, at MVA kiosks or at a branch. We link you to the official pages.

Easy for everyone

Pages are built to work on any phone or computer, with readable text, good contrast and keyboard-friendly tools.

Corrections

Found a Mistake? Here Is How We Fix It

Email us the page link, what looks wrong and, if you have it, the official source that shows the correct information. We check every report against the official MVA source and correct the page as soon as the change is confirmed, usually within a few business days.

  1. You email us the details at support@marylandmvaappointment.com.
  2. We compare the page with the current official MVA information.
  3. If the official source confirms it, we correct the page and re-check related pages.
  4. We reply to let you know what we changed.
